Domitios 1 was bishop of Prousias (in Honorias); he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) in 680 and 681 and was present at all eighteen sessions: Riedinger, pp. 18-827 (= Mansi XI 212-677). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Δομέτιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Προυσιαδέων πόλεως: Riedinger, p. 792, line 20, p. 827, line 8 (= Mansi XI 652, 677). In the lists of those attending each session, he is styled Δομετίου ἐπισκόπου Πλουσιάδος: Riedinger, p. 18, line 11, p. 30, line 13 etc. (= Mansi XI 212, 220, etc.). At the eighth session (7 March, 681) he declared his acceptance of the doctrine of Two Natures, Two Wills and Two Energies as set out in documents from pope Agatho 1 and the Roman Council of 680: Riedinger, p. 200, lines 23-34 (= Mansi XI 340). Later in this session he intervened during the questioning of Makarios 1 and Stephanos 17 to condemn their belief that the Will of Adam was the same as that of God: Riedinger, p. 244, lines 16-18 (= Mansi XI 368). In the ninth session (8 March) he asked that the monk Georgios 34 be invited to declare his position on the monothelete doctrines held by Stephanos 17: Riedinger, p. 270, lines 21-24 (= Mansi XI 384) (Δομέτιος ὁ θεοφιλὴς ἐπίσκοπος Πλουσιάδος). At the twelfth session (22 March) he was sent with bishop Ioannes 32 and others to see Makarios 1 and check if certain documents brought before the Council were in fact his: Riedinger, p. 560, line 4 (= Mansi XI 544-545). At the end of the fourteenth session he asked that the monothelete priest and monk Polychronios 3 appear before the Council to defend his views: Riedinger, pp. 662-663, lines 22-4 (= Mansi XI 601). His request was granted at the start of the fifteenth session (26 April): Riedinger, pp. 674-675 (= Mansi XI 608).
