David 24 was basilikos spatharios and strategos of Makedonia; owner of a seal dateable to the late eighth century or the early ninth: Zacos and Veglery 3100. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with .ω - σω - .ου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Δαυ - ιδ β' σπα. - στρατη. - Μακεδ - .... . The name and titles read: Δαυὶδ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Μακεδονίας.
