David 21 was basilikos asekretis and logothetes of the dromos; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 3099. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with .ω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: + Δαυιδ . - ασιλικω . - σηκρητις . - λογοθετ. - του δ.ο - μου. The name and titles read: Δαυὶδ βασιλικῷ ἀσηκρῆτις καὶ λογοθέτῃ τοῦ δρόμου. Cf. also David 19.
