Daug 1 was a dioiketes; owner of a seal of uncertain date, possibly eighth or ninth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 325b. The name and title, both very unclear, read: Δαυγ [δ]ηυκι[τ]υ. The title is certainly dioiketes, but the name is very odd; could the true reading be David? Cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 134.
