Daniel 14 was basilikos kandidatos and droungarios; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: SBS 3, p. 180 (Albrecht Münz, Sale 65, no. 1779). Obv.: cruciform invocative monogram. rev.: the name and titles on the reverse read: Δανιὴλ βασιλικῷ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ δρογγαρίῳ.
