Daniel 7 was spatharokandidatos and tourmarches; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 232. The name and titles read: Δανιὴλ σπαθαροκανδιδάτου καὶ τουρμάρχου. The same or a similar seal occurs in Schlumberger, Sig., 372.
