Daniel 6 was bishop of Narbo; he was one of the twelve bishops from Francia sent by Charlemagne and Carloman (Karoulos 1 and Karoulomannos 2) to attend the Council of Rome in April 769; they were chosen for their knowledge of the Scriptures and the canon law (see text cited under Ado 2): Lib. Pont. 96. 17 ("Danielem, episcopum civitate Narbonensis"). He is named eighth of the bishops from Francia.
