Damianos 12 was basilikos spatharios and tourmarches; owner of a seal dateable to the late seventh or early eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2980. Obv.: Virgin, standing, holding Child; on left, cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει; on right, monogram of Δαμιανω. Rev.: monogram with separate letters, reading βασιλικω σπαθαριω και τουρμαρχη. The name and titles read: Δαμιανῷ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ τουρμάρχῃ.
