Dagibert 1 was king of the Franks; he is said to have made a peace treaty with Grimoald 3 (the king of the Lombards, 662-671): Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. V 32. Dagobert II, son of Sigebert, was exiled in 658; there is doubt whether the name of the Frankish king as given by Paul is correct; see note by G. Waitz on Paul. Diac., Hist. Lang. V 32.
