Christophoros 64 was probably an abbot (hegoumenos) on Mt Sigriane; according to one Life of Theophanes 18 (Theophanes Homologetes) it was Christophoros 64 who made Theophanes 18 a monk, in or soon after 780; this Life also claims that he attended the Council of Nikaia in 787 (for which there is no support in the Acts of the Council): Vita Theoph. Conf. (BHG 1789) 9, 3ff., 32ff. The other Lives give other names; see Strategios 15 and Theodoros 369.
