Christophoros 17 was metropolitan bishop of Hierapolis in Phrygia Pacatiana; owner of a seal dateable to the seventh century: Laurent, Corpus V 1, 728 = Schlumberger, Sig., p. 255. Obv.: image of St Philippos, between the legends ὁ ἅγιος Φίλιππος. Rev.: cruciform monmogram, partly mutilated, read by Laurent as Χριστόφορος μητροπολίτης Ἱεραπόλεως, with the legend Πακ - ατι - αν - ης. See Laurent, op. cit., p. 555, note.
