Boukinator 1 (Βουκινάτορος) is apparently a proper name. Boukinator 1's two sons (Anonymi 1) (δύο ἀδελφοί ... υἱοὶ Βουκινάτορος) performed various heroic deeds against the Arabs: Theoph. AM 6146. cf. Chron. 1234, §134 (p. 275) (Bwqntwr), Mich. Syr. II 446, Bar Hebr. 98-99.
