Boso 1 was a (Frankish or Roman) comes; in 844 he was one of the laymen who attended the Council of Rome with Drogo 1: Lib. Pont. 104. 14. His name suggests that he was a Frank. Possibly identical with Boso, the husband of Ingiltrudis 1, who left him and refused to return in spite of papal excommunications and anathemas: Lib. Pont. 107. 48. If so, he was a Frank.
