Bonosos 2 was bishop of Aleria (in Corsica); he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in ninety-first place: Conc. Lat., p. 6, line 20 (Βωνώσου ἐπισκόπου Ἀλερίας), p. 7, line 20 ("Bonoso Alerino episcopo") (the first session), cf. pp. 35, 115, 181 and 251 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 400, line 5 (Βώνωσος ἐπίσκοπος Ἀλερίας), p. 401, line 5 ("Bonosus episcopus sanctae Alerine ecclesiae").
