Boethios 1 was bishop of Corne (possibly Forum Cornelii, in Flaminia); he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in ninety-third place: Conc. Lat., p. 6, line 22 (Βοηθίου ἐπισκόπου Κόρνης), p. 7, line 22 ("Boethio Cornense episcopo") (the first session), cf. pp. 35, 115, 181 and 251 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 400, line 9 (Βοήθιος ἐπίσκοπος Κόρνης), p. 401, line 9 ("Boethius episcopus sanctae Cornensis ecclesiae"). The identification of the see is uncertain, but among the following bishops appear several seemingly from Flaminia.
