A eunuch, Basilios 154 was a protospatharios; during the reign of the emperor Michael III (Michael 11) Basilios 154 kept a register of the emperor's expenses; in 867 the new emperor Basil I (Basilios 7) demanded to see it; by that date Basilios 154 was an old man: Theoph. Cont. V 28.
