Basilios 134 was the hegoumenos of the monastery of St Sabas (in Palestine), he was the addressee, together with his monks, of a letter from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) between 809 and 811; in the letter Theodoros 15 describes the origins of the Moechian controversy and recent events leading up to the Moechian synod (in early 809) and seeks support for his position from Basilios 134 and his monks; they are addressed as ὦ πατέρες ἅγιοι; the letter was delivered by the monks Litoios 1 and Symeon 27: Theod. Stud., Ep. 555 (a. 809/811; addressed Βασιλείῳ τῷ ἀοιδίμῳ ἡγουμένῳ σὺν πᾶσι τοῖς ἁγίοις πατράσι τῆς σεβασμίας μονῆς τοῦ Ἁγίου Σάβα).
