Basilios 117 was basilikos spatharios (not protospatharios, as Zacos and Veglery; see W. Seibt, Review of Zacos and Veglery, in ByzSlav 36 (1975), 211) and xenodochos of the Loupadion; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth or tenth century: DOSeals III 55.3 = Zacos and Veglery 1779. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +.ασηλ - ειω β' σπαθ - αρ' και ξενοδ - οχου του Λ - ουπαδιου. The name and titles read: Βασιλείῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ ξενοδόχου τοῦ Λουπαδίου. Cf. also Basilios 45.
