Basilios 53 was a praipositos; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century, possibly the second half of the eighth: Zacos and Veglery 1778 (M/L VIII) = Schlumberger, Sig., p. 568, no. 2 (facsimile) (VIII/IX). Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Βασιλ - ειῳ πρα - ιποσιτ[].
