Basilios 42 was a basilikos spatharokandidatos and strategos of the Boukellarioi; owner of a seal dateable to the iconoclast period (VIII/M IX): Ebersolt, "Sceaux byzantins", p. 402, no. 528. Obv.: cruciform monogram in the name of the Virgin. Rev.: Βασίλιος βασιλικὸς σπαθαροκανδιδάτος and στρατηγὸς τῶν Βουκελλαρίων.
