Basilios 36 was a basilikos spatharios and archon of Crete; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: DOSeals II 36.1 = Zacos and Veglery 1782 = Tsougarakis, SBS 2, p. 146, no. 18. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Βασι - ιω β' σπα - αρχοντ - Κριτ. The text of the reverse reads: Βασιλείῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ ἄρχοντι Κρήτης.
