Basilios 32 was a hypatos and protonotarios of Sicily; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals I 5.5 = Zacos and Veglery 1771 = Laurent, Corpus II, no. 803. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Βασιλείῳ ὑπά[τῳ] καὶ πρωτονοτ[αρίῳ] τ[ῆσ] Σικελ[ίασ]. The reading of Zacos and Veglery, σακέλ[λησ], is rejected, rightly, by Nesbitt and Oikonomides (note in DOSeals). They suggest the identification of this man with the owner of Schlumberger, Sigillographie, 215, note 2, no. 10 (facsimile) (dateable to the ninth century) (= Borsari, p. 157, no. 16), a seal found at Syracuse and owned by a Basilios who was basilikos vestitor and protonotarios of Sicily. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Βασιλειω β' βεστ' και - α' νοταρ' Σικελιας. The name and titles read: Βασιλείῳ βασιλικῷ βεστίτορι καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ Σικελίας. If so, the second seal belonged to an earlier stage of his career.
