Bardas 32 was a patrikios and strategos of Macedonia; addressee of a letter from the patriarch Photius (Photios 1), written between 859 and 867, in which he is given advice on how he should conduct himself in office (Bardas 32 was presumably therefore only newly appointed): Photius, Ep. 68 (I 104 Laourdas-Westerink) (addressed Βάρδᾳ πατρικίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Μακεδονίας).
