Bardas 25 was a spatharios and komes of the basilikoi stabloi; owner of a seal dateable between the mid eighth century and the mid ninth: Zacos and Veglery 1755 (M VIII/M IX) = Laurent, Corpus II 920A (IX). Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Βαρ - δα σπαθ' και - κομμι' τω - ν β' σταυ - λλω'. The name and titles read: Βάρδᾳ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ κόμιτι τῶν βασιλικῶν σταύλων. The same person probably owned a nearly identical seal, similarly dateable: Zacos and Veglery 1756 = Laurent, Corpus II 920B. Obv.: identical with the obverse of Zacos and Veglery 1755. Rev.: +Βαρδ - α σπαθ' και - [κ]ομ' τω' β - σταυβ'. The name and titles read: Βάρδᾳ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ κόμητι τῶν βασιλικῶν σταύλων.
