Bardas 21 was a basilikos protospatharios and logothetes of the agelai; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 3082. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Βαρ - δα β' α' σπ - αθ' και λογο - θ' τω[ν] α - [γ]ελω. The name and titles read: Βάρδᾳ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ λογοθέτῃ τῶν ἀγελῶν.
