Auxentios 1 was the hegoumenos of an unknown monastery, he was the addressee of a letter from Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite), of uncertain date, written in reply to a request from Auxentios 1 for an explanation of some passages of Scripture; he is styled τῆς τιμιότητος σου and addressed as ἡγιασμένε πάτερ: Theod. Stud., Ep. 518 (addressed Αὐξεντίῳ ἡγουμένῳ).
