Artabasdos 13 was a strategos of the Anatolikoi; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals III 86. 49 = Zacos and Veglery 1745. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with .. - .. - .ου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Αρτ - υασδο ς - ρα' τον α - ατολικ. The name and title read: Ἀρταυάσδο στρατηγῷ τον Ἀνατολικῶν. The same person, holding the same post, was owner also of another seal, from a different boulloterion but modelled on the first: DOSeals III 86.50. Obv.: cruciform monogram, probably of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with .ω - .. - .ου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ρτα - δο στρ - των αν - ολικ. On the seals and the identification, see DOSeals III, p. 161, note (rejecting Zacos and Veglery's proposal to identify the owner with Artabasdos 3).
