Arsaber 20 was a protospatharios; addressee of two letters from the patriarch Photius (Photios 1), of uncertain date (therefore written between 859 and 886): Photius, Ep. 228 (II 138ff. Laourdas-Westerink), Ep. 233 (II 149 Laourdas-Westerink) (both addressed Ἀρσαβὴρ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ). The first letter concerned theological topics, the second thanked Arsaber 20 for gifts. His name indicates an Armenian origin.
