Arsaber 16 was a basilikos protospatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 1737. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Αρσα - .ηρ βας - ιλεικω α' - σπαθ'. The name and title read: Ἀρσαβὴρ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ. His name indicates an Armenian origin.
