Arsaber 2 was a basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals I 18.61 = Zacos and Veglery 1739. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - .ου - .. in the corners. Rev.: Αρσαβ - β' α' σπα' - ρα' Θες. The name and titles read: Ἀρσαβὴρ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Θεσσαλονίκης. His name indicates an Armenian origin.
