Arkadios 2 is mentioned in a letter written by Theodoros 15 (Theodore the Stoudite) in summer or autumn 816 to Laurentios 4 asking him to take care of Arkadios 2 if he met him and to rescue him, for Theodoros 15's sake: Theod. Stud., Ep. 168, p. 289.
