Antonios 2 was bishop of Hypaepa in Asiana; he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) in 680 and 681 and was present at all eighteen sessions: Riedinger, pp. 18-830 (= Mansi XI 212-677). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, he is styled Ἀντώνιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Ὑπαιπηνῶν πόλεως τῆς Ἀσιανῶν ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger, p. 788, line 7 (= Mansi XI 648). In the subscriptions to the Council he is styled Ἀντώνιος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος Ὑπαίπων Ἀσίας: Riedinger, p. 827, line 17 (= Mansi XI 677).
