Anonymus 735 was an envoy sent to the emperor Theophilus (Theophilos 5) in the year 1149 Sel. (837/838) by his mother (cf. Thekla 2, Theodora 2 and Euphrosyne 1) to warn him of plans to proclaim a new emperor: Bar Hebr., p. 136.
