Anonymus 679 was a spatharios (perhaps a protospatharios) and domestikos of the theophylaktoi Scholai; he was owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Laurent, Orghidan 26. Obv.: cruciform monogram, probably of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with .. - .. - .ου - λω in the corners. Rev.: .... - .θ' και δ. - ων θ' φ' - σχολ'. The title perhaps reads: [πρωτοσπα]θαρίῳ καὶ δ[ομεστίκῳ τ]ῶν θεοφυλάκτων σχολῶν.
