An old man, much respected (τίμιος), Anonymus 674 asked Maximus the Confessor (Maximos 10) at Selymbria if it was true that he held views disparaging to the Theotokos; Maximos 10's answer won the support of the soldiers and priests who were gathered there: Acta Primi Exilii 168C. The date was in late 656.
