Anonymus 652 was the magistros of the Vigla and the leading executioner in Constantinople, who accompanied pope Martin (Martinos 6) through the streets of Constantinople to the office of the city prefect (cf. Anonymus 652); the date was 652: Theod. Spoud., Hypomnesticum (Gk), 4, p. 72 (τοῦ βιγλομαγίστορος ἤγουν τοῦ πρώτου τῶν δημίων), Hypomnesticum (Lat.), IV, 197 "cum vigiliae magistro, id est primo carnificum".
