Anonymus 627 was the hegoumenos (καθηγητής) of the laura of St Sabas; Anonymus 627 accepted Michael Synkellos (Michael 51) as a monk there: Vita Mich. Sync. 3. After twelve years he had Michael 51 ordained a priest, and two years later gave him a cell and small cave for contemplation: Vita Mich. Sync. 4. Michael 51 apparently entered the monastery in 786, was therefore ordained in 798 and acquired a cell in 800; cf. Michael 51.
