Anonymus 609 is mentioned in a letter written by the patriarch Photius (Photios 1) to the patrikios and sakellarios Michael 126; Anonymus 609 was a friend of both men (φίλος, formerly ὁ σος, now κοινὸς φίλος); he had proved unreliable and Photios 1 wrote to inform Michael 126 of the fact: Photius, Ep. 58 (I 104 Laourdas-Westerink). The date was between c. 860 and c. 875.
