Anonymus 608 was a man considered a model of virtue, against whom the notarios Konstantinos 281 had brought allegations of wrongdoing; the matter is mentioned in a letter of the patriarch Photius (Photios 1) written between October 867 and 873: Photius, Ep. 172 (II 47 Laourdas-Westerink). Possibly a cleric; cf. Ep. 172, lines 7ff.
