Anonymus 552 was a basilikos spatharios and tourmarches; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2661 (VIIIth cent.) = Seyrig 223 (M/L VIII). Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with .. - ς. - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: .... - . β' σπ - αθαρ' και τ - ουρμαρ - χη. The titles read: βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ τουρμάρχῃ. The editors of Seyrig read the last letter of the name as ...α, and suggested that it be read as Ἠλίᾳ.
