Anonymus 523 was a (?basilikos) protospatharios and oikeiakos; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century; his name is lost but included the letters .. ρο...: Zacos and Veglery 2619A. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Κύριε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ..ρο.. - . α' σπαθ - .ρηο και υκ - ηακω. The name and titles read: ..ρο.. [βασιλικῷ?] πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ οἰκειακῷ.
