Anonymus 487 was a basilikos protospatharios and doux of Calabria; owner of a seal dateable between the mid eighth century and the mid ninth; his name is partly preserved and contains the letters λλα.ος, but the interpretation is uncertain: Zacos and Veglery 2626. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ..λλα. - ω β' α' σπ' και - δουκι Καλ - αυριας. The name and titles read: .. .λλα.ῳ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ δουκὶ Καλαυρίας. Zacos and Veglery describe another seal, Laurent, Vat. 105, as similar.
