Anonymus 438 was a basilikos protospatharios and ek prosopou of the Anatolikoi; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century; his name is lost: DOSeals III 86. 21 = Zacos and Veglery 2627. Obv.: cruciform monogram, read by the editors of DOSeals as Κύριε, with .οιθ - η τ. - .ω δ - ουλω in the corners. Rev.: ..... - ασ' ας - .θαρ' κε εκ - .ροσ' τον α - .ατολικ'. The titles read: ... βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ ἐκ προσώπου τῶν Ἀνατολικῶν.
