Anonymus 436 was a hypatos; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2590. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: cruciform monogram (Zacos and Veglery monogram 610) of uncertain interpretation, with υ - πα - τ - ω in the corners. The surviving letters of the monogram are α, ν, ο, τ, χ, possibly ρ, plus a letter or letters completely lost. According to Zacos and Veglery, "there are signs of a R, in which case the reading Χαριτονι (= Χαριτωνι) can be proposed". The reading of the reverse might then be: Χαρίτονι ὑπάτῳ.
