Anonymus 434 was basilikos spatharios and strategos of the Karabisianoi; owner of a seal dateable to the first half of the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2656. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ..... - ..ατ' β - .πα' και στρ' τ - .αραβισι - ανων. It is uncertain if the letters ατ formed part of the owner's name or part of a title, e.g. [ὑπ]άτ[. The text reads: ...ατ' βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Καραβισιάνων. His name perhaps ended with the letters ...ατος. Cf. Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, p. 96.
