Anonymus 421 was the owner of a seal dateable to the seventh or eighth century: Speck, Bleisiegel 129. Obv.: bust of a saint holding a lance, with the legend ὁ ἅ[γιοσ] Δημήτ[ρι]ο[σ], identifying him as St Demetrios. Rev.: traces of an inscription, perhaps in four lines, of which only χ at the start of the second line is decipherable.
