Anonymus 399 was a basilikos hypatos and chartoularios of the genikon logothesion; owner of a seal of uncertain date, possibly ninth or tenth century; no traces of the owner's name apparently survive: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 591d. The text reads: .... βασιλικῷ ὑπάτ[ῳ] χαρτου[λα]ρίῳ τοῦ [γε]νικοῦ λ[ογο]θεσί[ου].
