Anonymus 286 was brother of Gregory the Decapolite (Gregorios 79); from his cell in the Decapolis Gregorios 79 sent a messenger to him, wanting to see him, but he was no longer living in the same place (presumably Eirenopolis) and the messenger failed to find him: Ignatius, Vita Greg.
