Anonymus 234 was ordained bishop of Turris (Libisonis) (in Sardinia) by the archbishop of Caralis, Citonatus 1, exercising a former prerogative of the bishops of Caralis that had been cancelled in the time of pope Martin I (Martinos 6); a church council in the time of pope John V (Ioannes 31, 685/686) restored the new bishop to the jurisdiction of the bishop of Rome and confirmed him in possession of his see: Lib. Pont. 84. 4.
