Anonymus 225 was in charge of Amorion in 716 when the emperor Theodosius III (Theodosios 2) sent his family there for safety; he was ordered to guard them safely but after the city was besieged by Leo 3 (the future emperor Leo III) he and the other leaders of the city joined forces with Leo 3 and surrendered them: Chron. 1234, ยง157 (p. 302).
